This course is an advanced course aimed at Dog Walkers, Kennel staff, Pet Store staff, Vet Nurses and Vet Students, Dog Groomers and Trainers. Students do not need any previous qualifications in pet first aid to undertake this course.

Advanced pet first aid level 3 (VTQ) covers much more detail about the different injuries and illnesses that can affect dogs and cats. The course has been designed to give the pet owner or pet professional much more information in order to be able to detect early when something is wrong and give the appropriate care. The course also covers the anatomy and physiology of animals and different first aid treatments that are available. Although the treatment is basically the same between dogs and cats, the advanced course has a dedicated section for cats. This course is a blended course. Blended training is where you complete the online module (6 hours) and a practical module (approx 6 hours) locally with one of our approved instructors where you also cover practical subjects to gain the full qualification certificate.
