Introduction from Becca Wilson

Hello everyone,

Welcome to our May Newsletter!

Spring is such a wonderful time to enjoy the outdoors with our pets, and it’s also a fantastic opportunity to refresh our knowledge and skills as pet owners and pet professionals.

At The Pet Academy, we are passionate about providing accessible, practical, and professional pet education for everyone. Whether you’re joining one of our courses, attending a webinar, or learning new pet first aid skills, we’re delighted to have you as part of our growing community.

Top Tips for Pets This Spring 🌼🐢🐱

Spring brings brighter days and more outdoor adventures, but it’s important to keep pets safe during the changing season.

Spring Pet Care Tips:

  • Check flea and tick prevention – Parasites become more active in warmer weather.
  • Watch out for toxic plants – Spring flowers such as lilies, daffodils, and tulips can be dangerous to pets.
  • Keep pets hydrated – Longer walks and warmer temperatures mean pets need plenty of fresh water.
  • Be mindful of seasonal allergies – Some pets can suffer from itchy skin and irritation during spring.
  • Inspect paws after walks – Grass seeds and mud can cause discomfort and irritation.
