Use preventative treatments and check your pet regularly for ticks and fleas after outdoor activities.

Allergy Awareness: Increased pollen can trigger allergies in pets. Monitor your pet for signs like itching, sneezing, or watery eyes, and consult your vet if needed.

Safe Outdoor Spaces: With more time spent outside, ensure your pet is on a lead or in a secure, fenced area to avoid encounters with wildlife or traffic hazards.

Toxic Plants and Chemicals: Many spring blooms, like daffodils and tulips, can be toxic if ingested. Keep your pet away from potentially harmful plants and be cautious with garden pesticides and fertilisers.

Hydration and Temperature Control: As the weather warms up, make sure your pet has plenty of water and avoid excessive exercise during the hottest parts of the day.

Regular Grooming: Spring cleaning is a great opportunity to give your pet a good grooming session. Brushing not only keeps them looking great but also helps you spot any skin issues or parasites early.

These proactive measures will help ensure your pet enjoys a safe and healthy spring!

Stay Connected

Follow us on social media for the latest updates, tips, and pet care news:

Facebook: The Pet Academy UK

Instagram: @thepetacademy

LinkedIn: The Pet Academy UK

Thank you for being a valued member of our community.
