🐶 Pet First Aid – Top Tips from Our Experts
While you wait for your course, here are a few quick tips to help you stay prepared:
- Know the Signs of Heatstroke
Look for excessive panting, drooling, or collapse — especially in summer. Move your pet to a cool area and contact a vet immediately. - Check Their Pulse
Practice locating your pet’s femoral pulse (inside the hind leg). Knowing where and how to check it is crucial in emergencies. - Keep a Pet First Aid Kit
Include items like gauze, bandages, saline, tweezers, and a tick remover. And always have your vet’s number handy! - Never Give Human Medication
Even common over-the-counter meds can be toxic to pets. Always consult a vet before administering anything.

Even more importantly, the event helped raise awareness around pet first aid, and how small actions can make a big difference in emergency situations.
